Rain with sand from the Sahara: is it safe for citizens
Yesterday, April 24, Ukraine was covered with rain and dust and many citizens began to panic about the safety of this phenomenon. However, the State Emergency Service is reassured that colored rains and dust in the atmosphere do not pose any threat.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, the natural phenomenon is observed over the southern and central regions of Ukraine and spreads to the north. Prolonged precipitation washes dust from the atmosphere, as a result of which meteorological stations record colored (yellow shades) rain, which does not pose any
threat. April 25-26 dust to remain will be in the atmosphere over Ukraine. On April 27, the air flows will change, the air will clear after the rains.
