Help in demining: Inna Yashchuk held a meeting with representatives of a Japanese company

On March 28, a working meeting with representatives of the Japanese company “PADECO” took place within the walls of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The main issue is bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in the field of humanitarian demining. State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs appreciates cooperation between countries and is ready for new joint projects.

“The role of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the field of humanitarian demining of the state is one of the main ones. Cleansing our land is currently an extremely important and long-term process. During the period of full-scale war, Japan was and remains our ally in the field of demining,” said Inna Yashchuk.

The representative of the Japanese company stressed the readiness to help and support Ukraine. In particular, he voiced that now there is an opportunity to transfer drones to units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will help Ukraine in the field of humanitarian demining.

Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine also joined the meeting. Deputy Director of the Emergency Response Department Oleg Bondar expressed gratitude to the government and people of Japan for the assistance already provided to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine: “Given the cynicism and meanness of the enemy, we clearly realize that the introduction of the latest technologies is very important for the purification of our land “.

The participants of the meeting agreed on further cooperation in order to test the mentioned drones in Ukraine in the near future.
