“Helped” with deferment from military service: a group of persons was exposed in the Cherkasy region
Among the defendants are officials of the district territorial center of staffing and social support, a hospital employee and another local resident.
Law enforcers found that dealers demanded funds for the preparation of documents for deferment from military service. Such fictitious certificates made it possible to “delay” the summons of evaders for the maximum possible period. The cost of preparing the necessary documents was $3,000.
On August 16, police officers in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine detained a representative of the medical institution during the transfer of 1000 US dollars. Earlier, the fact of receiving another 2000 US dollars was documented by the defendant.
According to the results of searches in the administrative premises of the district military registration commissariat, places of residence and in vehicles of the defendants, funds in national and foreign currency totaling more than 2.5 million UAH, documents, “draft” records were seized.
The detained person was informed of the suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 27 Part 3 of Art. 368 (Obtaining an illegal benefit by an official, combined with the recovery of ill-gotten benefits) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.
In addition, on August 18, the suspicion was reported to an employee of the district TCC and a civilian. They incriminate the commission of the crime provided for in Part 5 of Art. 27 Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
