Donetsk region: Kurakhovo police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of shrapnel wound of a local resident
A 65-year-old woman received shrapnel wounds as a result of shelling by militants. In total, today, February 17, seven shelling of settlements were recorded, in particular, Marinka, Krasnogorovka, Taramchuk, Stepne and Solodke were damaged. Police officers provide assistance to peaceful residents and document the aftermath of the terrorist attack.
As of 14.00, small arms and mortar shelling were exposed to settlements: Svitlodarsk, Novoluhanske, Maryinka, Avdiyivka, Mayorske, Shumy, Travneve, Pivdenne, Zaitseve, Nevelske.
In Maryinka, a 65-year-old woman who was at a public transport stop received shrapnel wounds. The victim was taken to a medical facility.
A police investigative and operational team worked at the scene. In fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Art. 438 “Violation of the laws and customs of war” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
