Lidia Stepanovna passed the whole front under shelling, covered about 10 km, fell twice - but by all means tried to reach the free Ukrainian territory. The brave woman has been given all the necessary help, now she is in relative safety.

The house, which a resident of Ocheretyne built with her own hands, was destroyed by the Russians, and her relatives were injured. Escaping from the invaders, the woman in her 98 years did the impossible.

Lydia Stepanovna walked all day, without food and water, fell several times without strength and, as she says, “fell asleep”. She held on to two sticks and “on character”. In the midst of the fighting, the pensioner miraculously remained alive and unharmed.

In the evening, the tired pedestrian was seen on the road by the military and handed over to the police group “White Angel”. The police took the resident to the shelter for evacuees, where she is taken care of. Law enforcement officers are currently looking for the woman's relatives.

At the moment, Lydia Stepanovna is feeling well.

“I've lived through that war and I'm going through this war. Left with nothing. But I came out with my Ukraine on my feet,” says the woman.

Donetsk police remind: evacuate on time, do not risk your life, and the “White Angels” will take care of the safe exit.
