Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko spoke on the FREEDOM tele-marathon about the mechanism of joining the assault brigades “Guard of Offensive”, and also informed about the advantages of service in volunteer brigades of the National Police, National Guard and State Border Guard Service.
“Service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs has its advantages. In particular, these are benefits when entering and in the process of training in military and law enforcement universities. In addition, all servicemen of units of the defense forces who participate directly in the war for at least 30 days receive the status of combatants.
Those who show themselves best will lead the following volunteer units and offensive operations in the future,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the core of volunteer units consists of people with extensive experience in combat operations.
“At the same time, everyone can apply to join the assault brigades. The main requirement is a high level of motivation. After the selection for volunteers, several months of intensive training awaits with the subsequent combat coordination of new units,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
According to her, volunteers as part of the assault brigades will be ready to perform combat tasks only when all personnel are fully prepared and receive the appropriate weapons and equipment. The best instructors in fire training and tactical medicine will be involved in the training.
Kateryna Pavlichenko thanked everyone who had already submitted their application to join the “Guard of Offensive” and announced the formation of reserves to create new assault brigades.
The deputy minister stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs accepts only volunteers to the brigades, this process is not within the framework of the general mobilization.
