Cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be additionally attracted to the operation “West-2023”
The law enforcement contingent will temporarily increase by more than half a thousand people. They will help maintain law and order in the border area, including in order to prevent attempts to cross the border illegally.
As already reported, on the western borders, within the Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions, operation “West-2023” continues.
It involved border guards of Mukachevo, Chopsky and Chernivtsi detachments, as well as units of border aviation — both manned and unmanned.
In addition, it is planned to hold joint events with employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, the National Guard, territorial units of staffing and social support, as well as representatives of state authorities and local self-government.
In order to improve the effectiveness of the measures, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine decided to involve in the operation also the personnel of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Recall that the purpose of the joint operation “West-2023” is to counter illegal activities at the state border, prevent attempts to illegally cross the border, strengthen control over compliance with the border regime and the state border regime, respond promptly to changes in the situation at the border.
