People can seek help from the police both directly on the street and in the police stations, which will act as heating points. This was announced by the Head of the National Police after another massive rocket attack on the live broadcast of the “Yedeni Novosti” tele-marathon today, November 23.

Igor Klymenko reported that at the moment, as a result of shelling, rockets hit 16 objects on the territory of the state:

“In particular, in the Kiev region, a hit in a residential building in the city of Vyshgorod: three people were killed, 20 were injured. In general, in Ukraine at the moment we have recorded the death of six people, 36 citizens were injured.”

The head of the National Police added that at the same time, the power outage in many regions of the state due to Russian shelling is a significant challenge for the police:

“First of all, it is a danger to citizens. From the police side, I can say — we are talking about possible property crimes and traffic accidents. Therefore, from this evening, the number of car patrols has been doubled. In addition, we have prepared for work 3,000 foot patrols in all regions of the state. I urge citizens who are out of touch to take to the streets and contact the police with reports of crimes as a result of bombings, crimes that may have been committed or committed during darkness.”

The head of the National Police also appealed to citizens with a request to use reflective elements, flashlights, so that drivers can see pedestrians in the dark.

Igor Klymenko stressed that all units of the National Police of Ukraine are working in full:

“All police units are equipped with generators, all ready to receive citizens, including if necessary for heating. All law enforcement agencies and rescuers were preparing for such a situation.

People need to know: law enforcement is nearby. We have organized means of communication of police officers throughout the state. Citizens, if they feel in danger, should contact the police.”

The head of the department said that police stations, as well as “points of inviolability”, are open to citizens.

“More than 1,200 police stations throughout the territory of our state are working in full mode. And we invite our citizens who need help, including heating, to the police stations in the regions,” said Igor Klymenko.

At the same time, the Head of the National Police stressed that during the period of power outage, people should first of all treat each other with respect:

“The main thing: do not panic and understand that all this is temporary. The light may disappear for a few hours, but no one can drive us into the dark. We will be on duty around the clock.”
