DMS continues active work in de-occupied Kharkiv region
The Balakley Department of the Main Department of DMS in Kharkiv Oblast has fully resumed its work. Local residents return to the city under the Ukrainian flag. Currently, Balaklians receive passports, which were issued in western Ukraine.
In the village of Shevchenkove after the de-occupation there was neither electricity nor communication. Therefore, the first mobile brigade of the Migration Service of Kharkiv region arrived there. Since the beginning of its work, DMS employees have restored lost and destroyed documents. Currently, the Shevchenko sector is fully operational.
In addition to considerable destruction, the bloody war unleashed by Russia has separated thousands of Ukrainian parents and their children. Recently, the military brought a 14-year-old boy, who was kidnapped by the occupiers, to the DMS unit from the area of active hostilities. Migrant workers of the Shevchenko sector issued the child a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. Now the little Ukrainian is waiting for a meeting with his parents, who are still forcibly in the occupied territory.
Returns to a full life and invulnerable Raisin. The building, where the DMS department was located, was completely destroyed during enemy rocket fire. While the process of designing a new premises continues, a mobile complex of the Service operates in the city every Thursday. Only on the first day of his work, more than 100 people contacted the migrant workers for advice on recovering a lost passport.
During November-December 2022, elderly citizens, people with disabilities who were under occupation for seven months, did not receive any social benefits, and the Russian military illegally and brazenly destroyed their passports.
Also, the specialists of the Izyum Department of the SMS solve the problems of documenting servicemen who lost their passports during hostilities.
And the largest number of appeals during the war came from 14-year-old Ukrainians about obtaining a passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
