“Thank you to those who gave the most valuable - their lives for Ukraine” - in Kyiv, the memory of the “OMEGA” warriors was honored
A memorial evening was held in Kyiv on the occasion of the commemoration of the dead servicemen of a separate special purpose unit “OMEGA” of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Special Purpose Center of the National Guard of Ukraine, relatives and combat comrades of the deceased heroes.
“The Special Purpose Detachment has always been the best and most effective unit of the National Guard. Since 2014, special purpose military personnel have been among the first to take up arms and stand up to defend our independence and sovereignty.
They took up arms to defend our skies from the adversaries who came to us from the north and east. From myself I personally want to express sincere gratitude and bright memory to them. We will never forget them. We are indebted to our fathers and mothers for raising such courageous warriors, and we bow our heads to the wives and children, brothers and sisters who have lost loved ones. They will forever remain alive in our hearts and memory,” said the First Deputy Head of the Special Purpose Center of the National Guard of Ukraine Colonel Konstantin Kornitsky.
Those present honored the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for peace and the integrity of the state with a moment of silence.
In the evening, the memory of the fallen heroes was remembered and honored:

As part of the event, we told stories about each fallen defender of Ukraine. Also in the memory of the heroes were songs and poems performed by Ukrainian artists.
Each hero story is a reminder to us that immense power can arise from the strongest souls, and that people are willing to put anything on the altar for a higher purpose. Their actions give birth to hope and support, and their examples of courage and self-sacrifice bring faith in us for a bright future.
We will never forget or forgive the enemy who took the lives of our heroes.
We remember everyone - who is on the shield!
