The State Border Guard Service informs about the work of checkpoints on the demarcation line in the area of the joint operation
In general, provocations of the Russian-occupation forces regarding the aggravation of the security situation are observed along the entire line of demarcation. Occupiers continue to completely block traffic on five of the seven road corridors.
On the territory controlled by Ukraine, all checkpoints operate daily from 08:00 to 16:00. At checkpoints, the task is performed by a sufficient number of border guards ready to ensure both the prompt passage of citizens and the safety of civilians crossing the demarcation line.
Daily passage through the demarcation line is carried out only in “Stanytsya Luhanska”. During the week, the intensity of crossing the demarcation line increased by 6%. In total, 6,261 people passed through this road corridor to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, and 6,112 people to the controlled territory.
Opposite the checkpoint “Novotroitske”, the occupiers pass only certain citizens twice a week — on Monday and Friday. During these days, 330 people and 51 vehicles crossed the demarcation line at the checkpoint to the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region. At the same time, 312 people and 54 vehicles drove through the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
In addition, at the checkpoint “Novotroitske” border guards stopped three attempts to provide illegal benefits totaling 6.5 thousand hryvnias. Citizens offered bribes for assistance in the movement of currency beyond the established size and did not notify law enforcement officers about the discovery of documents issued by the occupation administration of the Russian Federation. Offenders and reporting on the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 369 CCU transferred to police officers.
13 trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Committee of the Red Cross passed through the Schastya and Novotroitske checkpoints. 127.7 tons of medical goods, baby food and furniture were delivered to residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Recall that yesterday a humanitarian column was attacked by the occupiers at the Checkpoint “Schastya”, which delivered cargo from the UN to the temporarily occupied Luhansk. Soldiers of the Luhansk border detachment transferred civilian personnel to shelters, thanks to which losses were avoided. And after a certain stabilization of the situation, the border guards promptly ensured the passage of drivers and trucks to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
We also remind you that the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 29, 2021 No. 1407 abolished the requirement for self-isolation for persons leaving the temporarily occupied territory through the checkpoint. So, when crossing the checkpoint on the demarcation line, citizens do not need to undergo mandatory self-isolation and install the mobile application “At Home”.
