State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk held a working meeting on the work of health care institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

On July 7, under the chairmanship of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk, a working meeting was held with the management of the structural units of the apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, health care institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Deputy Minister Vasily Teteria and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko also took part in the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Inna Yashchuk noted that today the Ministry faces tasks from the Minister, which are designed to provide comprehensive assistance to the military system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police and rescuers, which consists in psychological support, medical support, rehabilitation and socialization of both the victims and their members families.

During the discussion, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko introduced the meeting participants to the updated concept and principles of barrier-free working with victims and their family members in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“We all understand that today our boys and girls, policemen, rescuers, border guards risk their lives and get injured every day, so providing and providing them with social guarantees is not just a legal norm, but it is a moral duty of all of us. Therefore, already now we have to lay down the main aspects of working with our veterans and their families. Today, units of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs border guards, guards, policemen side by side with the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out offensive operations and how successful they will be depends also on how much boys and girls will be sure that they receive social protection, rehabilitation, treatment, a complex of all social guarantees.

Ekaterina Pavlichenko spoke in detail about the types of barrierlessness: infrastructural, information, social and communication. The Deputy Minister called on the heads of structural units and health institutions to conduct training among their employees on how to properly communicate with people with disabilities. She stressed that barrier-free is, first of all, seeing people with heart: “Today, the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should be directed to provide the victims of war with all the necessary support and assistance. We must move to ensure that all our centres meet the requirements of barrier-free.”

In addition, a number of issues related to the activities of health institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were discussed during the meeting, in particular:

  • results of work and reform of departments (sectors) of social protection and support of victims and members of their families of state institutions “Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine” in the regions and city of Kyiv for 2023;
  • introduction of criteria for grouping of HOZ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and introduction of monthly need formation and financing of labor expenses.

At the same time, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Vasyl Teteria stressed to those present the need to responsibly approach the issues and tasks that were discussed at the meeting, in particular, noted that the work should focus on our defenders and members of their families.

As a result, Inna Yashchuk stressed that today's developments should consolidate the coordination of work and bring an effective joint result of the structural units of the Ministry's apparatus and health institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
