State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk held a working meeting on language training in higher education institutions of the department
On April 25, a working meeting on improving language training in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held under the chairmanship of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk with representatives of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Personnel Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine, the Department of Personnel of the State Service of Ukraine from Ukraine emergency situations, the Department of Professional Training of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine and rectors of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the Secretary of State, “the invasion of the Russian Federation is that huge impetus for us in terms of irreversible movement in NATO. The situation in the country proves that we cannot stand still, we must have the course set by the Alliance. On the one hand, we must fight back against the aggressor, and on the other hand, move at an extremely fast pace towards his standards, in particular in matters of education.”
Invited to the meeting, the head of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Volodymyr Mirnenko shared with the participants of the meeting his experience in the development and implementation of normative documents regulating the issues of language training of specialists for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the first results of their implementation. In particular, he also stressed that international partners are ready to support Ukraine and contribute comprehensively to educational reforms. However, for this, our country needs to carry out a number of reforms in the education system.
At the end of the meeting, cooperation of educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was agreed. It is recommended to form an interdepartmental working group on the development of a Roadmap for the improvement of English language learning in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to consolidate the coordination of this work with the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
