The State Border Guard Service allows gas trucks to Ukraine in priority order
Border guards and customs officers primarily pass gas trucks that go to Ukraine with fuel and for fuel to the countries of the European Union. We note that such a process will contribute to a faster solution to the problem of fuel shortage in Ukraine.
“Green corridors” for trucks transporting fuel are agreed with neighboring countries. Cars transporting fuel undergo the necessary border and customs control procedures in a priority order, both from the neighboring country and in Ukraine.
“To fulfill the tasks of the leadership of the state and the government, border guards together with customs representatives ensure uninterrupted and extraordinary passage of vehicles that transport fuel. In particular, interaction was carried out with representatives of neighboring countries, who went to meet and also accept vehicles carrying gasoline and diesel fuel on an extraordinary basis, as well as passing them on the way out. In the event of queues at the state border, such vehicles are given priority in crossing the border, including with the allocation of additional lanes for traffic,” said the head of the press service of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine Roman Pavlenko.
Trucks with tanks that go to EU countries for fuel also undergo extraordinary registration.
“In case of accumulation of such vehicles for departure from Ukraine, together with the National Police, they are escorted to the checkpoint and registration on a separate lane,” commented border guard Karina Belikova.
