The Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured the return to Ukraine of representatives of the national staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from international operations to maintain peace and security
In order to ensure the protection of Ukraine from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the President of Ukraine signed Decree No. 114/2022 of 07.03.2022 “On the withdrawal of the national contingent and personnel participating in international operations to maintain peace and security”.
At the time of the signing of the Decree, 22 representatives of national staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs out of 16 NPUs and 6 NGU servicemen were serving in five international operations for maintaining peace and security, namely: in UN missions in Abiya — 1, Democratic Republic of the Congo — 3, Kosovo — 1, Republic of South Sudan - 14 and Cyprus - 3.
Today, the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has ensured the implementation of the Decree by withdrawing from the international operations for the maintenance of peace and security all representatives of the national staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The leadership of international operations for the maintenance of peace and security expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who served with dignity under the blue flag of the UN, and expressed wishes for the speedy return of Ukrainian officers to the ranks of peacekeeping missions.
The peacekeepers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the form of humanitarian assistance from foreign colleagues received equipment and equipment (body armor, helmets), medical first aid kits and food, which were transferred for the needs of Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
