Today, July 7, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky held a working meeting with representatives of rescue services of four partner countries. Among the participants are representatives of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

“Today you had the opportunity to talk to our rescuers, exchange experiences and data. All this knowledge and skills we received at a very dear price, the price of blood, death and destruction. So today you have a chance to improve the work of rescue services in your countries, using our knowledge,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Denis Monastyrsky thanked his foreign colleagues for the technique, which they had previously handed over. He assured that she has been helping Ukrainian rescuers to save lives for a long time.

“Today, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is a key service that carries the burden of saving the country. We are very proud of our rescuers who are forced to violate the principles of their own safety in order to save people. Tomorrow you will visit places where your Ukrainian colleagues used to work. I hope you never have to see such a disaster again. You will understand that Russia has no regard for any rules of war and human principles. As long as she is our neighbor, no one feels safe,” said First Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Yenin.

Foreign guests assured that they will continue to provide all possible assistance to Ukraine and support it on the way to the EU. This is especially true of Ukraine's accession to the civil protection mechanism of the European Union.

“We take this experience from you because we understand at what price it was obtained. In all European formats, we will support the development of the civil protection sector in Ukraine,” said Saulus Greyčius, Director of the Fire and Rescue Department of the Republic of Lithuania.
