Denis Monastyrsky: It is too early to talk about the complete abolition of curfew
This was announced yesterday, May 10, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the tele-marathon “United News”.
“We will still have to live with a curfew for some time across the country. This is the opportunity that creates conditions for law enforcement officers to successfully work out danger signals, in particular, to prevent the activities of sabotage and intelligence groups. It is too early to talk about the complete lifting of the curfew in certain territories, even if there are no hostilities,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He noted that Ukraine successfully held May 8—9. All law enforcement officers worked in a strengthened regime, because in these days both provocations and DRG attacks were expected.
Separately, we discussed the issue of safety on the roads. Denis Monastyrsky called on all Ukrainians to follow the rules of the road.
“We are bringing back the fixing of speed violations. Let me remind you that penalties are also included. Therefore, a request to everyone: observe the speed limit that is provided for in certain areas. Fines will come to both car owners and citizens — proper users for the relevant offenses,” the Minister said.
He also talked about the RuassetsBot telegram bot for collecting information about Russian assets, which recently went live.
“These assets should be withdrawn in favor of the recovery of Ukraine, because an extremely high price has been paid for the liberation of every settlement. Now the search for Russian assets is one of the initiatives and directions of movement of our law enforcement officers. Funds from such assets will go to the government fund. They will be used to restore our state,” Denis Monastyrsky said.
According to him, anyone who has information about Russian assets can report it through a bot. Further, the competent authorities will work on sanctions or confiscation in favor of Ukraine.
