Denis Monastyrsky: In points of invulnerability, citizens can not only warm up, but also recharge the phone, relax and feel safe
Today, November 30, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky inspected one of the points of inviolability of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke about the results of the visit during a live broadcast on the tele-marathon “United News”.
“To date, the State Emergency Service has established more than 1000 such points throughout the country. Also, more than 900 have been created in the National Police. There, people can not only warm up, but also recharge the phone, relax, feel safe in extreme conditions,” the Minister said.
Of the problematic moments, Denis Monastyrsky focused on the issue of mobile communication: “Now we carry fiber to such points of inviolability and are waiting for Starlink, which should arrive within two weeks and solve the problem completely.”
The points of inviolability provide services around the clock and free of charge, people can relax and receive qualified medical care.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that at the moment there are already tragic cases among the civilian population due to carbon monoxide poisoning. According to him, it is necessary to observe safety rules when using devices to generate heat and light.
“If it's an apartment, it's gas vodka, if it's a house — a generator. Safety rules must be observed, you can find them on the website of the State Emergency Service. This, of course, all together multiplies the involvement of the SNS forces in duty and response.”
During the broadcast, the Minister told how to act in the event of a long power outage and lack of mobile communication: “If such a situation arises, the point of invulnerability is the point where rescuers, police, ambulance can be called.”
At the end, the situation on the roads, which developed due to non-working traffic lights, was discussed.
“As soon as the lights are turned off, the number of car and pedestrian police uniforms immediately increases, we involve voluntary formations of territorial communities. From next week, we will also attract cadets from the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who will help patrol the streets.”
Denis Monastyrsky addressed the citizens and once again reminded of the importance of using reflective tapes that help to be visible on the road.
