Denis Monastyrsky held a conversation with the Minister of the Interior of the United Kingdom Suella Braverman
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky familiarized his British counterpart with the work of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in wartime and stressed that today they make up about a quarter of the country's defense forces.
He thanked for the active position of the British Government in supporting Ukraine in confronting the aggressor country, for the humanitarian assistance provided by the British side for the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, especially for the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the United Kingdom, in turn, expressed words of support to the Ukrainian people and assured of readiness and further support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“We admire the Ukrainian people, the strength and courage that you show during this war of invasion and are ready to continue to support to repel this aggression and its consequences,” the minister said.
Attention is also focused on the need to carry out humanitarian demining of territories of Ukraine contaminated by enemy mines and explosive objects.
“This problem is one of the priorities that needs attention and appropriate action, since the recovery of towns and villages liberated from the occupiers is impossible without it”
During the conversation, the parties separately discussed the issue of protection of Ukrainian citizens who received temporary protection in the UK.
“We are grateful to the British Government for the support that has been given to our citizens who have been forced to leave their homes and flee the horrors of war. We hope that the UK Government will continue to support Ukrainians who are temporarily in Britain,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
Separately, the parties discussed the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of countries, in particular in the field of combating cybercrime and combating trafficking in human beings, as well as the possibility of involving soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine in training within the framework of Operation Interflex, where they will be able to learn both the tactics of warfare and the use of the latest types of weapons weapons, etc.
The heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also discussed the issue of strengthening cooperation in documenting war crimes committed by the Russian military against civilians, since Ms. Braverman previously held the position of Attorney General for England and Wales.
