Denis Monastyrsky checked the readiness of forces and means to respond to possible situations around Zaporizhia NPP
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky together with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, as well as the Chairman of Energoatom, heads of regional state administrations of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya regions, heads of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine visited Zaporizhia on a working visit.
“We came to assess the situation around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. From the beginning of its capture, we realized that we were dealing with a terrorist state. All their actions will be connected precisely with terrorist acts or, even, with information terrorist attacks that are possible around the station,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to him, the purpose of the visit is to assess the situation, to talk with the police and rescuers working in this area. Also check the readiness of forces and means to respond to situations.
Regarding the possible need for the rescue of citizens, the Minister noted that plans and scenarios have been developed at the moment: “We have activated and checked them. Energoatom has set up an appropriate headquarters, which includes all the forces of rescuers, police and local authorities who will respond in accordance with the threat.”
