Denis Monastyrsky: at once everyone turned into universal fighters and repelled the occupier
Today, April 29, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the live broadcast of “Yedeni Novosti” spoke about the role of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in confronting the aggressor.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine met the war. The beginning of the battle was reported by the first border guards. The first 72 hours were extremely difficult, the directions of strikes from the enemy were from 10 different places at the same time. Almost immediately, border guards, guards and the Armed Forces sat in the same trenches. And from that moment on, it became the united defense forces of our country,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He said that there are currently active employees of the national police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the occupied cities. According to him, they are in danger, but they fulfill a very important mission.
“Immediately everyone turned into universal fighters and took part in the repulse of the occupier. They are all together there and no one can distinguish them anymore,” Denys Monastyrsky stressed.
He also gave an example about the surrounded Mariupol, where there is a special unit of the National Guard at the Azovstal plant. Now policemen, patrol police, KORD and some units of the Armed Forces entered there at their own will.
