Denis Monastyrsky discussed with G7 ambassadors the issue of aid and reconstruction of Ukraine
Today, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, discussed with the ambassadors of the “big seven” assistance to the wounded and the restoration of critical infrastructure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the country.
The participants completely reviewed the joint projects that were implemented together before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
“I understand that with each month of the war, we take a step back in duration over years. But we must consolidate to reduce these losses together,” the minister urged.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine told the envoys about the situation at the front and about the tasks performed by the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the conditions of martial law. He also informed about the needs of fighters performing tasks on the front line.
He called the death of Ukrainians one of the most global and difficult problems and stressed that together we must do everything possible to save the living. The participants of the meeting agreed that the issue of rehabilitation of wounded soldiers, policemen and rescuers should be brought to a new level today.
In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate on humanitarian demining, restoration of critical infrastructure and equipment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The rate of primary demining directly affects the speed of economic recovery. Therefore, technical support of pyrotechnic units is a priority for us,” said Denis Monastyrskyi.
He said that for donors who provided rescue equipment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs makes a report on its work, and the State Emergency Service systematically informs them about the specific places where this equipment works.
The ambassadors of the G7 countries expressed their support for Ukraine and promised to do everything in their power to help Ukrainians.
