Denis Monastyrsky: Our fighters will do everything to make us free and independent
Today, on the air of the “United News” tele-marathon, Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky spoke about the presentation of awards and departmental honors to police officers, rescue heroes, border guards, guards and doctors for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.
“Every day with sweat and blood we defend our country. Today we consider it an honor at the walls of St. Sophia to celebrate more than 100 employees of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Each of those present here gave a piece of himself to protect Ukraine. I am sure that they will continue to do everything possible and impossible so that we are independent and located here — in free sunny Kyiv,” the minister said.
Denis Monastyrsky said that today's historic day, because the country celebrates the Statehood holiday for the first time, began with rocket attacks.
“The Great War continues, and we need to be prepared that any of our successes will be accompanied by such shameful shelling of civilian objects, as was the case in Kremenchuk, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kharkiv and many other cities of our state,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Taking the opportunity on the air, he appealed to citizens to respond to air alarms and reminded that today's shelling of infrastructure facilities in Kyiv region, fortunately, did not take any lives, because all necessary security measures were implemented.
“We understand that this war is being fought, including for the right to respect our history, our ancestors and the right of every Ukrainian to consider himself a citizen of an independent state. Today is a holiday of free people in the east, in the west, on the front lines, who will do everything to knock the orcs out of the Ukrainian land,” the minister assured.
