Denis Monastyrsky rewarded policemen who shot down an enemy drone during shelling of the capital

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded the senior operating officer of the Kiev police and three policemen of the Department of Patrol Police of Ukraine with the badge “For courage in service”.


Yesterday, October 17, during a massive attack by enemy drones in the middle of the capital, law enforcement officers took measures not only to ensure law order, but also to defend the city. Firearms police destroyed one of the 42 drones that attacked the country that day.

“Our police have become our air defense - it's very nice. Your act is 2 percent of the work of the power of the PVO in general. I am sure that what happened will strengthen our faith and bring victory closer. The day will come when we will no longer see these drones in our sky,” Denis Monastyrsky stressed.


For exemplary performance of official duties, showing personal courage and courage in difficult conditions of threat to life and health, ensuring public safety and order, the breastplate “For courage in service” was awarded to the senior operating officer of the GUNP in the city. Kyiv, as well as three employees of the Department of Patrol Police.
