Denis Monastyrsky initiated the creation of a special commission of inquiry into the root causes of the tragedy in Dnipro

Today, during the broadcast of the TSN program on 1+1 TV channel, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky said that a special investigative commission has been created at the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate the root causes of the tragedy in Dnipro. In addition, it must provide proposals for the necessary changes in the passage of service by conscripts in the NGU and the State Fiscal Service.

“On my part, an official audit was appointed and a special commission was created, which was headed by First Deputy Yevgeny Yenin. Within a month, it should carefully check this case and give suggestions on what needs to be changed so that such situations never happen in the future,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

Denis Monastyrsky also noted that according to the conclusions of the investigative commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel decisions will be made regarding the persons who were involved in the prevention of this situation.

The Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the soldiers who died today.

“Unfortunately, five people died. Another woman, a senior soldier of the National Guard, Zhanna Sharova, is in very serious condition. We pray for her health. We hope that the doctors will do everything possible to ensure that she remains alive. Four more servicemen and one civilian are in the hospital,” the minister said.
