About this today, December 6, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said during a live broadcast at the “Unified News” tele-marathon. The documentation of the wreckage after the rocket attack, the mechanism for identifying their location, the observance of the curfew and patrolling the streets in the dark were discussed.

The minister noted that work on documentation of missile debris after yesterday's shelling continues: “Of course, it will take several days. Investigators of the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office are working. To find and record every arrival, every rocket shot down, and every debris. After that, these remains are sent for examination in order to clearly establish and put this evidence in criminal proceedings in order to then show it to the world.”

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs thanked the Air Forces, which, according to him, worked perfectly yesterday. In addition, he expressed gratitude to citizens who went to shelters and told about the new introduced function, when police and emergency services units made detours around critical infrastructure facilities, gave additional air alarm alerts through cars.

Regarding the mechanism of operational determination of the location of the falling debris of rockets, Denis Monastyrsky spoke about interaction with citizens: “As soon as the rocket attack begins, we receive many calls to the 102 service from different regions from indifferent citizens who saw rockets flying, saw rockets being shot down, they transmit we have a lot of videos from our own phones, which then become evidence in criminal proceedings.”

“All this is coming together and the police, of course, already understand where the collision of the rocket took place. In each individual case, we find the location of the missile, document it, and usually it is the citizens who give tips, give videos and testimonies that help us,” he said.

The observance of the curfew and the work of the police were also discussed.

“For all of us, the curfew has unfortunately become commonplace. And the biggest challenge for the National Police, for all defense forces, is shelling when there is no light in the streets. We are doubling the number of police patrols and walking outfits. We attract voluntary formations of territorial communities and representatives of territorial defense who help the police. Even recently, we understand the need to attract cadets from universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to help patrol and protect important critical infrastructure facilities. In the past day alone, 7,000 police uniforms came out.”

Regarding the observance of the curfew, the Minister stressed that the level of discipline has increased. According to him, people are used to the fact that by 23 o'clock they need to be at home. Most citizens adhere to the relevant rules and this simplifies the work of all law enforcement agencies.

“I want to note that the checkpoints that operate in the country, and there are currently about 250, they also continue to work, they detain people on them, check for involvement in collaborative activities, especially those who are in the de-occupied territories,” he said.
