Open Day at Donduvs gathered more than 650 schoolchildren
Acquaintance with the institution of higher education took place in the form of a legal quest. Game locations, videos, excursions, presentation of educational, scientific, sports activities of the university — all in order to show future applicants the advantages of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. At the same time, the university opened the doors for high school students of Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih. At two locations, the event gathered more than 650 schoolchildren.
High school students were presented with an institution of higher education, told about the faculties and specialties in which specialists are trained, and vocational guidance products were distributed. In the courtyard of the Donduvs there were locations with a demonstration of special forces and means available at the disposal of the National Police. Representatives of the Higher Education Institution conducted an excursion, showed the conditions of study and living, treated with field porridge. The athletes of the Higher Education Institution demonstrated their skills and achievements.
A special feature of the Open Door Day was a quest for entrants “Child as a subject of legal relations in Ukraine”. This is a new form of holding meetings with high school students in higher education institutions. Teams of schoolchildren prepared emblems and mottos in advance to participate in the game. Applicants received route letters and showed their knowledge at legal locations: “Norms of the Constitution”, “State symbols of Ukraine”, “Legal status of the child”, “Rights and obligations”, “Responsibility of children”, “Labor relations”, “Civil legal relations”. The winners received prizes in memory of the university. This is how the first Open Day of the Higher Education Institution was held in the 2022-2023 academic year.
