“Unity Day is a Ukrainian weapon against all threats! No matter where we live, who we work, what language we speak, we are one people. We are one for each other. The launch of the Day of Unity is our response to all those who want to try us for strength, to test our character. It is already clear that if we face threats — we are only getting stronger and, I am sure, no enemy expected such a powerful counteractor in response to information pressure. This is how nations and leaders who know what Independence is, who have paid their happiness and freedom, act. They consolidate and go together to achieve achievements,” the First Deputy Minister noted.
He stressed that from now on February 16, every year, all Ukrainians will feel the friendly shoulder of each other, and the enemies - a powerful force that can no longer be taken by cunning or in moments of weakness.
For reference: President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of a new holiday in Ukraine, it will be celebrated at the state level on February 16. The relevant Decree No. 53/2022 is published on the website of the head of state.
Recall that today, February 16, on the occasion of the Day of Unity on the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Flag was solemnly raised and the State Anthem was performed.
