Four-legged hunters guarding the state border of Ukraine
We are all used to seeing brave and courageous shepherds in the service of the military. But the State Traffic Safety Service of Ukraine told about real hunters who have excellently proven themselves in the service of border guards.
To your attention the English Springer Spaniel. They are born hunters who are not inferior in the job of finding weapons or drugs. And they are the largest among spaniels. For a long time, these dogs were taken by hunters for hunting, and now they help border guards hunt contraband.
“These dogs are excellent helpers in protecting state borders, so I chose just such a partner - Bernie. He is extremely agile, has good working qualities and most importantly, a keen sense of smell. The best partner in the service will not be found”, - the border guard Yuriy Protsak is convinced.
Yuri has been engaged in canology for 7 years. He and his ward Bernie are now training to search for narcotics.
“In my opinion, spaniels are the best among service dogs. They are small in size, but they are not inferior in work to large dogs,” the dog expert shared.
So, very soon Yuri and Bernie will go to the border, because they have an honorable and responsible business ahead of them - the protection of state borders.
