A man who was found by border guards in the mountains yesterday died
Today, a man died in Transcarpathia, who yesterday during the border patrol discovered the border outfit of the “Bogdan” branch of the Mukachevo border detachment.
The man found turned out to be a 46-year-old citizen of Ukraine, a resident of Dnipropetrovsk region. He wandered for more than three days in the highlands of Rakhiv region without proper equipment, clothing and supplies of food and water.
In the hospital, where the man was taken immediately after detection, he was diagnosed with hypothermia of 2-3 degrees and renal failure. Unfortunately, the life of the Dnipropetrovsk could not be saved.
The death of the man added to the sad statistics of those killed during an illegal border crossing attempt.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russians on the territory of Ukraine, 24 people died - 19 drowned in the Tisa River, another 5 died while trying to cross the mountainous section of the border.
The State Border Service once again urges travelers to refrain from hiking in the mountains and attempts to cross the Tisa River and not to violate the state border.
At present, difficult weather conditions are observed in Transcarpathia, caused by heavy rains, a drop in air temperature and thick fog.
