The official of the Department of Population Protection of Nikolaev caused damage to the budget of almost 3 million hryvnias
During the investigation, the police found that the head of the department of protection of the population and territory of the city council administration, being responsible for the organization and conduct of procurement procedures at the time of the conclusion of the contract, purchased generators for an excessive amount, which caused the budget institution damage in the amount of UAH 2,696,000.
The illegal activities of the 56-year-old official of the Nikolaev city council were exposed by investigators of the investigative department of the regional head of police under the operational support of the employees of the department of the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor's office.
Currently, the official faces imprisonment for up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with a fine of 250 to 750 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
