Since the beginning of this year, more than 11 thousand citizens have obtained a driver's license for the first time. These documents are valid for 2 years from the date of issue at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After this period, they must be exchanged.

However, during martial law, it is allowed to use a provisional driver's license. With such a document it is possible to drive a vehicle on the territory of Ukraine. And also abroad to those Ukrainians who received temporary protection.

In the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs they remind that the exchange of a driver's license is carried out exclusively after the expiration of its validity period. When contacting the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, you need to take the following documents with you: a passport with a mark on the place of registration, an identification number and an existing driver's license. During the martial law, a medical certificate is not required. Or make an exchange online: through the Driver's Cabinet or the Action app.

A 2-year driver's license, issued for the first time, is exchanged if there are no more than 2 traffic fines. If there are more of them, such controllers need to pass theoretical and practical exams in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

We also made sure that citizens choose a convenient way to receive the document. When ordering a service online, the finished document can be obtained both at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and delivery to a convenient branch of Ukrposhta or by courier to a specific address.

We draw attention to those who were forced to leave the country. Our fellow citizens who have received temporary protection abroad can use a provisional driving license in the EU countries.

You can also make an exchange online in the driver's office with international delivery. Already it operates in 17 European countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Romania, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, France, the Netherlands, Turkey and Austria. Or contact the State Enterprise Dokument, which provides certificate exchange services in Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Italy and Turkey.

Consultation on the services of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs can be obtained by phone (044) 290-19-88 or on the pages of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Facebook and Instagram.
