Russian occupation forces have been shelling the Luhansk-Shchastya road corridor since February 18. Yesterday, without adhering to the ceasefire agreements, the occupants fired three times from mortars, large-caliber machine guns and mounted anti-tank grenade launchers at the Shchastya entry-exit checkpoint. There are no casualties. The infrastructure was damaged.

This morning Russian mercenaries are again firing mortars along the Luhansk-Shchastya humanitarian corridor.

Therefore, taking into account the aggravation of the situation and eliminating the risks to life and health of citizens, the Commander of the Joint Forces decided to temporarily suspend the passage of people and vehicles through the entry-exit checkpoint Shchastya from 8 o'clock on February 20, 2022 for the period of threat.

Due to the blocking of the movement of citizens from the temporarily occupied territory, this road corridor was mostly used for the movement of humanitarian goods from international organizations.

Since the beginning of the year, two humanitarian convoys have delivered 185.3 tons of cargo to the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territory through the Shchastya checkpoint. Among which are medical supplies, clothing, furniture. Such supplies help civilians in the difficult socio-economic situation created by the Russian occupation administration in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. And on February 18, a humanitarian convoy delivering cargo from the United Nations and returning from temporarily occupied Luhansk came under fire from militants at the Shchastya entry-exit checkpoint.
