Daily explosions, destroyed civilian and critical infrastructure, lack of water, light and gas — all this is about front-line Gulyaypole. Despite this, people continue to live in the city, who at one point lost everything.

Local rescuers help residents in these conditions, who not only work to eliminate the effects of enemy attacks, but also deliver water, bread and other humanitarian aid.

This is stated in the material of journalists of Bihus.Info.

“And where people take it now, we have nothing working — no shops, nothing. There is no light gas, electricity. Therefore, people are forced to turn to us, and we are already helping,” says Vladislav, one of the rescuers of the Gulyaypilsk part of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhya region.

“Almost no house in our area is habitable. We ourselves hide in basements,” says Olena, a resident of Gulyaypol.

“Our rescue service is in the first place. They always come at the first call, ask about our needs. Give them God health - boys and girls with this. You see how Gulyaypole lives, we are in the basement all the time. We would like to live in apartments, but everything is broken there, it is cold, there is no water, and here we are safe,” says Augustyna, a resident of Gulyaypol.

The woman admits that she has been forced to live in a basement for two years because her own apartment was destroyed by enemy shelling.

The city is under daily shelling, often the occupiers shell even medical facilities.

“And it came near the hospital, and more than once. The last thing was a CAB, then the worker died,” says local rescuer Vladislav.

“From the beginning, we heard warnings about air hazards. We were in the shelter and heard a loud explosion. And just a minute later, we began to receive calls, that under the rubble there are people in need of help. There were dead and wounded. Often the enemy attacks the city again, so we constantly work at the risk of our own lives. The enemy fires from all types of weapons, including artillery, RSFs and guided aerial bombs. Everything they have — everything flies here,” said Roman Derevyanko, head of the Gulyaypilsk rescue department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhya region.
