Bukovyna police officer Dmytro Babinsky won the prize place at international sports competitions
On January 24-29 of this year, the MMA World Mixed Martial Arts Championship was held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). It was attended by more than 420 participants from 56 countries of the world. The National Team of Ukraine consisted of 22 athletes, among them — an employee of the GUNP in the Chernivtsi region.
In law enforcement agencies, police corporal Dmytro Babinsky has been working for almost two years and holds the position of personal safety instructor of the Vocational Training Department of the UKZ GUNP in the Chernivtsi region.
The law enforcement officer has been involved in sports since his youth. He has numerous victories in regional, all-Ukrainian and international competitions in mixed martial arts MMA. The other day he took third place at the world championship in this sport.
Master of sports Dmitry Babinsky became the only medalist at the UAE World Championship among the athletes of the adult category of the Ukrainian National Mixed Martial Arts Team MMA.
In the fights, the Ukrainian policeman won the victory over rivals from Kazakhstan and Sweden. After one defeat in the results of points, the Bukovinian took third place in his weight category (up to 93kg) and won the bronze medal.
Dmitry Babinsky says that at the moment this is his greatest sporting achievement, which was achieved thanks to daily training, a positive psychological attitude, the support of colleagues and relatives.
“I prepared for this championship every day for a year with many coaches from different sports, because their training, approach, motivation helped me comprehensively learn the necessary qualities. However, I understand that there are shortcomings that are worth working hard on,” says the Bukovyna law enforcement officer.
Currently, police corporals are intensively preparing for the international competitions that will be held this spring in Bahrain.
