He defended the eastern borders, now returned to his favorite thing: the story of the border guard dog
Border guard Alexey Mukhin started his service in Novotroitsk in 2019. The man is from Khmelnytskyi Oblast, but defended the eastern borders.
For more than three years, the border guard served in the east of the country paired with a four-legged partner, there he met a full-scale invasion.
“On the eve of the invasion, we were armed and on constant combat alert. The morning of February 24 began with massive shelling. I just managed to pick up my four-legged companion and our unit left for Volnovakh. And then we defended our territory... The most difficult thing was to lose brothers, with whom he was side by side for a long time,” Alexey recalls.
For more than six months, the dog trainer performed tasks on the defense of Ukraine on the eastern borders. But when I arrived at the rotation, I decided to return to my favorite business. He is engaged in canology. Now with her partner she is mastering new knowledge and skills.
“I have a new ward - the Belgian Shepherd Jean, she is mastering the skills of finding drugs. Volunteers helped evacuate my previous partner, with whom I met the invasion, to evacuate home to his parents,” said the dog handler.
Over time, Alexey plans to continue his service in the educational institution of the State Border Guard Service. There, together with his partner Jeanne, he will share knowledge and experience with newfangled dog breeders.
