Bohdan Drapyaty: People's deputies in the first reading adopted the draft law on the separation of powers between the State Emergency Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Today, February 16, during the plenary session of the first reading, the People's Deputies of Ukraine adopted the Draft Law No. 5847 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts on the Distinction Between the Central Executive Body, Ensuring the Formation of State Policy in the Field of Civil Protection, and the Central Executive Body “the power that implements the state policy in the field of civil protection”.
287 deputies voted for the relevant decision.
“The Ministry is the main body in the system of central executive bodies that forms, and the State Emergency Service is the central executive body that implements the state policy in the field of civil protection, and a number of legislative acts still do not have this functional distinction,” he noted during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada Hall Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyaty of the Council.
Recall that since 2015, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is part of the system of bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
For reference: The draft law should make appropriate amendments to the Laws of Ukraine “On Road Traffic”, “On Humanitarian Aid”, On the Legal Regime of the State of Emergency”, the Civil Protection Code, the Air Code, as well as other legal acts.
