Bohdan Drap'yaty: Obtaining and registration of technical passport and license plates simplified
“Also, after the entry into force of the resolution adopted on August 8 at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, driver's licenses can be sent through international postal items. This option is especially relevant in the conditions of a full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, when citizens of our state, living abroad, will be able to exchange a driver's license through Dia or EKV by receiving a plastic document at the post office of the relevant country,” said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapiaty.
The resolution defines the features of electronic information interaction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with other entities to automate the process of checking information necessary for the provision of services by service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This issue is important, in particular, in view of the comprehensive preparation for the full implementation of the online car registration service (September 2023).
By the way, as of today, a driver's license can be exchanged through the Diya, or EKV application, and within Ukraine, received by postal link.
For an incomplete year, more than 25,000 people took advantage of this option.
