Biological and radiation threat, flood control: rescue training continues in Poland
In the Polish city of Ostrow-Mazowiecki, training continues for the second day in a row. Ukrainian rescuers also take part here. On the second day of training, the teams worked out actions in case of radiation, chemical, biological threat.
Each group worked in a separate location. A certain emergency situation was simulated there. During the exercise, the teams handled personnel and equipment, decontaminated the population that fell into the affected area, and monitored air pollution in the areas.
Andrzej Bartkowiak, Head of the State Fire Protection of the Republic of Poland, also joined the exercises. He observed the actions of rescuers during the elimination of emergencies related to the release of hazardous substances.
In addition, the international trainings EU MODEX NEW WAVE POLAND 2023 are held in Novi Dvir Mazowiecki. Teams of rescuers from Ukraine, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland arrived there. These trainings are related to responding to emergencies as a result of a flood.
