Most of the people affected ignored the air alarm, - Denis Monastyrsky
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky on the air of the all-Ukrainian tele-marathon.
“Most of the people who were injured were on the street at that moment. Unfortunately, people did not respond to the air alarm, which began 20 minutes before the tragedy,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He noted that the number of doctors and equipment in Vinnitsa is sufficient to provide assistance to the victims, and all doctors worked with the military, so they have experience in dealing with such injuries.
The minister clarified that at 20:00 there are 23 dead, some died already in the hospital, among them three children. Among the injured are also children, four of them. Doctors are fighting for the lives of five seriously injured people.
“It is already known for certain that these were Caliber missiles. Two of them shot down air defense. The other two hit the center of Vinnitsa today. As a result, we have more than 117 wounded who were hospitalized,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on the dismantling of 30% of the blockages. In total, about 40 different buildings were damaged.
