“White Angels” rescued three orphaned children from New York, Donetsk region
11-year-old Yana, 9-year-old Denis and 7-year-old Anya were left in the combat zone without their parents. My mother died a few days ago from a sudden illness, my father died a few years ago. And the home was damaged by a Russian shell.
The police evacuated the child from the fire, and the volunteers were taken to the Kiev region to a relative.
“Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa — all our relatives are now in heaven,” says Anya. She, her brother and sister had to survive the loss of their closest people and massive attacks by the Russians at the same time.
“The rocket flew and hit the club directly. Our ceiling was destroyed, and more windows were broken and a hole was made in the foundation. And in the garden there is such a pit”, - the child shows with his hands how big the ravine is. During enemy shelling, children lay on the bed and covered themselves with blankets - that's all protection.
“We didn't climb into the basement because we could just fall asleep,” explains her brother Denis.
The children lived close to the front line. To save them, the White Angel evacuation group risked their lives. During the last flight, the crew came under fire in the area, so the new operation was carefully planned and acted upon very quickly.
Police officers took the small passengers to the hospital for examination and handed them gifts collected by children from Poland.
Now the baby is already in the Kiev region. Two sisters and a brother have found shelter in their cousin's family, where there is already a small child. Juvenile police officers of Donetsk region keep in constant contact with children, because orphans need help.
