“White Angels” took the child out of the Bakhmut direction
In Kromove, near Bakhmut, there was a single family with a child. Due to the dense enemy shelling and the proximity of the front, it was impossible to reach the family for a long time. The police, together with the military, planned a special operation to rescue the boy. At the risk of his life, evacuation crews took 9-year-old Matthew and his parents and six other adults out of the fire.
The special operation took place at night. The military in special vehicles took people from the basements and at the agreed location handed them over to the police, who took them to a safe place. Eight adults and a child were evacuated.
All those rescued are in a safe place. They said that their homes were destroyed, communications in the village were missing.
Nine-year-old Matwik's house was also destroyed by the occupiers, and he and his parents lived in the basement. In the rare moments of calm, the boy went outside to breathe at least a little fresh air.
The family took their pets with them - a cat Sonka with three kittens.
