The road among mines and under the shelling of the occupiers — this is how the next evacuation of civilians from Bakhmut took place. The “White Angels” of the police, together with the military, evacuated people to a safe place, where they recover from what they experienced and receive the necessary help.

Police officers of the “White Angel” unit, risking their lives, continue to remove civilians from the hottest point of Donetsk region - Bakhmut. Each trip is carefully planned, the smallest details are taken into account, because the most important thing is to save people's lives.

“The special operation to rescue citizens took place on the orders of the head of the GUNP in Donetsk region. The crew of the “White Angels”, in close cooperation with the military, evacuated 10 residents of Bakhmut, including a child. People lived in basements, but due to the fact that active fighting began near their home, they decided to evacuate. All evacuees are in a safe place, they have been provided with medical and psychological assistance,” said Dmytro Prystupin, assistant head of the GUNP in Donetsk region.

Among the rescued is 14-year-old Alina with her parents, who finally managed to get out of the destroyed city. The family lived in an area that the Russian army was shelling with all kinds of weapons around the clock, there was not a single surviving building left there.

They did not leave Bakhmut because of a seriously ill disabled grandfather. Unfortunately, a relative died and had to be buried in the yard. After that, the family wanted to leave the city as soon as possible, because they understood that every day could be the last.

“If there is a hell, it is in Bakhmut. On the eve of our departure, in the evening, Russian troops shelled the city with incendiary shells. We felt a very pungent smell. I put on a mask, looked out into the street, and everything was burning there. Thank God for getting out of there,” says 45-year-old Stanislav, Alina's father.

During a conversation, the girl does not let go of her favorite toy, which she does not part with since birth. Due to heavy shelling in the past few months, she was not on the street at all. The family only came out of the basement during the evacuation.

The child was very impressed by what he saw, because its flourishing city was turned into ruins. In peacetime, the girl was engaged in drawing. She continued to paint under the bombs. At the moment, Alina enjoys the sunshine and dreams of access to the Internet, because she has not had such an opportunity for a long time.
