Barrier-free in action: GSC launches online consultations for people with hearing impairment (VIDEO)
From now on, Ukrainians with hearing impairment can seek advice from specialists of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and get feedback thanks to innovative technologies.
A special widget “Eye” was installed on the official website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It allows online persons with hearing impairment to communicate with a specialist of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In particular, contact an operator who speaks sign language and get answers to questions.
Algorithm for obtaining advice using the “Eye” widget:
- click on the widget “Eye”, which is located on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
- in the form that pops up, select the date and time and enter the mobile phone number for communication;
- wait for a video communication with a sign translator;
- Enter the code from the video that shows the sign language translator.
The employee contacts the contact center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In this way, it ensures a dialogue between the person with hearing impairment and our specialist.
In the future, it is planned to install a special widget “Vushko” on the official websites of regional service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
