26 year old Senior Lieutenant Alexander Zalisky died on June 23, 2022 during the evacuation of the wounded in the vicinity of Lysychansk. His car hit a mine barrier and blew up.

Alexander Zalisky was born in the Kiev region, in the village. Makariv. Since 2018, he has served under contract in the 25th Brigade of the Public Order Guard named after Prince Asquold of the National Guard of Ukraine. During the full-scale invasion of Russia, Alexander held the position of deputy company commander. And already in early June, together with his brothers, he went to the East of Ukraine in the zone of active hostilities.

“Sasha was a very kind person, he always knew how to defuse the situation, helped everyone who needed it. When we were leaving for the rotation, Sasha said he would get married when he returned, but that mine cut his life off. We knew that they had made a mine barrier there, but there was no communication with the guys, we did not have time to warn them,” Valery told the brothers of the fallen defender.

Already posthumously, the senior lieutenant Zalisky was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.

On the eve of Easter, the brothers and the leadership of the part honored the memory of the hero and presented the award to his parents.
