Special Purpose Battalion “Donbas” of the National Guard — 9 years
Last year, the fighters of the “Donbass” battalion of the NGU were on this day on the bloody battlefield, with no idea whether the sun would rise for them next time. But they endured, and today the unit celebrates the ninth anniversary of its founding.
“Remembrance is an awareness of what our friends died for. Ask why? Why was it necessary to die? Why was it necessary to risk it? The answer is to promise to win the very Ukraine for which our brothers gave the most precious thing they have — their lives. It is an honor for me to be your commander and to stand side by side with you, I congratulate every soldier and veteran of the battalion with an anniversary!”, - the commander of the special purpose battalion “Donbas” Skif congratulates the soldiers and veterans of his unit.
The special purpose battalion “Donbas” of the 15th Slavic Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine passed the hottest points since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and fought for such settlements as: Popasna, Kreminna, Gorskoye, Zolote-4, Svyatogorsk, Koroviy Yar, Bogorodichne, Mayorsk, Rubib Zhnoe, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Kupyansk, Shevchenkove, Volokhiv Yar, Zarechne, Torske, Serebryansk forestry, Siversk.
During this year, the battalion showed commitment to its principles, values, as well as its mission and purpose, which it had been shaping for nine years.
The special forces are still performing tasks at the front, fighting for Victory under the slogan: “The sun is rising in the Donbas”.
