“The specifics of the UAV operator's work are a bit heavy, I would say, there are pros and cons. For the enemy, we are a priority target, for the destruction of which they use a lot of forces and means, manpower and equipment. The quadrocopter brings much more damage on the battlefield, for everything we have eyes in the sky, which see what our guys should do next, and what to expect in a couple of hundred meters,” says Volyn National Guard Andriy.
Work on such UAVs contains a wide range of characteristics, including hardware (hard and software level), control algorithms, sensors, power systems and communication protocols. All of them interact with each other to ensure efficient and safe operation of the drone in different situations when performing a task.
“Technology does not stand still, everything is constantly changing, so in training centers at training sites, we improve our skills, and in such exercises the number one goal is to destroy the location of the enemy,” says the guard.
Military operators on quadcopters must be well trained in management, be able to effectively analyze the information received and interact with other team members to achieve their goals in the field of military operations.
