Last night, border guards, during a joint inspection with customs officers at the Milove checkpoint, found in the car a travel stash with a considerable amount of funds of various currencies.

A 40-year-old citizen of Ukraine arrived at the checkpoint by Chevrolet vehicle. The unwitting driver chose to move along the green corridor. However, during border control, a resident of the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region was nervous, to which the border guards of the Luhansk detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Evgeny Pikus reacted.

Subsequently, during an in-depth inspection of the car, in the luggage compartment under the skin, border guards found more than 1.8 million Russian rubles and 2.9 thousand US dollars. Also, along with a tidy sum, license plates issued by the occupying authorities were found in the cache.

The man explained that he turned the currency transaction with money for the sake of earnings. Since he was promised “payment for services” - 2% of the amount that the driver will transport.

Customs officers drew up a protocol for the Ukrainian under Art. 483 MKU, undeclared funds confiscated. License plates issued by the occupation authorities were handed over to the employees of the competent law enforcement agencies.
