Atoshka and Alexander - the most positive review duo for law-abiding citizens and a nightmare for smugglers
A soldier of the Mukachevo border detachment, dog trainer Alexander Povar, joined the ranks of the State Border Guard relatively recently. He dreamed of canology and, after completing his studies, for more than a year he has been engaged in his chosen business together with his favorite, a yacht terrier named Atoshka. The previous owner of the dog bought it back in 2017, immediately after returning from the area of the anti-terrorist operation and named it Atoshka. The life circumstances of the combatant turned out to be such that the pet had to be given away.
Atoshka is no less positive than her current owner. She is playful and restless, but when she hears the “search” command — she becomes serious and focused on performing her duties. And while travelers admire its compact size and brisk movements, Atoshka looks for weapons, ammunition and tobacco products that are forbidden to move.
Atoshka's service life is greater than that of her current owner. Previously, she “dreamed” of smugglers in Volyn. On the account of the four-legged one, hundreds of cartridges and several dozen units of weapons. However, one of its most serious indicators was the discovery of 600 boxes of cigarettes, which merchants tried to ship across the Ukrainian-Polish border.
Alexander is sincerely glad that they were able to quickly make friends with Atoshka and now they are true friends, loyal partners, whom even the most daring smugglers are wary of.
