Russian army strikes in Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson region, killing and injuring civilians
One dead and three wounded as a result of enemy attack on Nikopol region. On August 8, Russian heavy artillery troops carried out several shelling of Nikopol and the Marganets community. At night, as a result of shelling, the occupiers killed an 18-year-old boy, three more local residents were wounded to varying degrees.
Significant destruction was caused to private houses, outbuildings, vehicles. The buildings demolished the roof, pierced the ceiling, walls, windows flew out and cut power lines. Police continue to collect material evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian army on the territory of the region.
Also from the left bank of the Dnieper, the aggressor country carried out regular strikes on the settlements of Kherson and Beryslav districts. The enemy attacked civilian infrastructure objects with RZVs, artillery, mortars, aviation and UAVs. Damaged private homes, a shop, agricultural facilities, garages, cars and asphalt pavement.
The occupiers struck with rocket systems of salvo fire and artillery on Mykilsk. A 56-year-old local resident was injured as a result of a shell hitting the house. Investigators and medics worked at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of mine blast injury, shrapnel wound of the chest.
Investigative and operational teams of the police worked at the sites of enemy attacks: they conducted an inspection of the events, made photo and video fixation, collected material evidence of Russian war crimes.
According to the facts of Russian aggression against the civilian population, law enforcement officers opened 20 criminal proceedings under Art. 438 “Violation of the laws and customs of war” of the CCU.
